Updated May 16, 2020
In recent weeks, public health measures taken against the COVID-19 pandemic have brought many changes for all of us. At Winchester Dental, we remain committed to your health and safety.
We’re pleased to announce that our office is now open and operating on our usual schedule (including three Saturdays each month) to serve our patients and community, in accordance with the lifting of Virginia’s ban on elective and non-emergency dental treatments as of May 1. For everyone’s health and safety, if you feel ill and have an upcoming appointment scheduled, we ask that you seek medical treatment and reschedule your dental appointment when you have completely recovered.
Protective Measures for Your Health
Within our office, we continue to observe stringent infection control measures for the health and safety of our patients, community, and team members, as described below.
- At this time, we’re still asking that you wait in your car and call us when you arrive. We’ll call you in when it’s time, and will escort you directly to an exam room. We’re allowing extra time for appointments to be sure we can proceed with all necessary caution. If possible, please limit the number of people who accompany you to the office.
- We are checking the temperatures of all patients and team members to be sure no one has a fever. Our team members are all healthy and will be wearing extra personal protective equipment (PPE) beyond basic recommendations.
- We have also enhanced our sterilization and sanitizing practices. This includes the recent installation of four new air purification units to help ensure clean air throughout our office, and help minimize infection risk factors in the air and on surfaces.
Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back to our office, and are committed to prioritizing your health, your safety, and your comfort. If you have any concerns, please let us know.
